Animal Kingdom

We spent most of the day at Animal Kingdom; going in and getting a FP for Expedition Everest first. We only had about a 30 minute wait to ride so we found a cool table under a tree and people watched as we waited.

Wayne & Will rode in the first car of the ride; me in the second. It was way cool -- then we were off to Dinosaur with a very small wait. From there we walked through some shops and headed to It's a Bugs Life.

We had lunch reservations at Yak & Yeti for 1:30, but we decided to go ahead and check in and we were actually seated by 1:00. Yay!! We had a wonderful lunch and then headed over to The Festival of the Lion King.

By now it was really steaming in the park so we headed out and were back at OKW by 4:30. Wayne & I quickly changed and went over to the pool while Will took a nap .

Later We were back in the room with me organizing and packing. We head home tomorrow - Bittersweet ,,,

Hope Springs ... Windemere

On Wednesday the guys got up early and headed to the Lake Buena Vista GC. They played golf until noon while I went downtown to shop.

Wayne picked me up from DTD and soon we were on our way to the Theme Park Connection store in Winter Garden. This was our second time shopping there. I found an old Fire King Disney mug, and some other items.

We traveled back through Windemere and Dr. Phillips. This area is absolutely beautiful. I want to live here!! Beautiful and within 30 minutes to Disney World. We are seriously considering this idea... I have to do some research and plan.

We had dinner at Outback and it was delicious! Will & I had Victoria's filet and Wayne the prime rib. Yummy!!

After dinner we headed to DTD and bought tickets for the 7:20 showing of the new movie Hope Springs. We walked around and I traded a vinyl from the mystery box and then went to the Cirque du Soleil shop. Wayne bought the DVD (we have seen the show twice before) and Will bought a vest.

The movie was pretty good. Tommy Lee Jones was funny in this different type of role. After the show we headed back ... Tomorrow .. Magic Kingdom and Tony's Town Square for dinner!!

Typhoon Lagoon, OKW Pool, DTD

We spent most of the day in water ... splish splashing around. First we went to Typhoon Lagoon and caught some waves, then relaxed along the lazy river. We rode the family raft and then the guys went out for some deep waves while I waited on the shore getting drinched. Nice ...

Before leaving for the OKW pool we had lunch (chicken wraps) at the lagoon.

We drove back to the resort and applied more sunscreen and headed over to the pool. We relaxed there watching some of the activities that were taking place (ice cream drop, hoopla hoop race, dancing).

After a while we went back to the room to get ready for an evening of shopping at The World of Disney. We walked through the Lego store and then into WOD. Wayne found Duffy's Pumpkin costume!! Yay!!!

Soon we were at the Trading Post trading pins and getting reading for a sandwich at the Earl. We all tried different sandwiches tonight. Yum!!

Before leaving we walked through Once Upon a Time toy store and Will finally bought something. An Anakin Sywalker lightsaber. And I found Duffy's Jedi costume. Looks like Duffy is stocked up for fall!!

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios was packed! They were offering extra Magic hours and I guess everyone decided to take them up on the extension. In addition, I think it was the hottest day so far in the parks.

Of course by the time we arrived all of the FPs were gone for Toy Story Mania, so we headed over and got them for Rock n' Rollercoaster. Then we wandered around going through shops and the Art of Animation store until we could get our Tower of Terror FP.

Since we really couldn't do anything else, we ended up at the ABC Commissary eating. Basically we spent much of our time at the Studios walking around waiting for our FP times. The Star Tours shop didn't even have Duffy's Jedi costume. It looks like Duffy will be going home with the same clothes on his back that he was wearing at home.

However, by walking around and observing we have been able to spot pins that we need for our collections. And - We are on a pretty good roll (pun) with our pressed penny collection as well.

After HTH it looked like we were going to be in the middle of a storm. Dark clouds rolled in and we started to roll out. I picked up my Mickey Ears that I had embroidered and we headed out. Honestly, we have had better days at the Studios - we did get to use our FPs, but it was way too crowded.

Later in the evening We had pizza delivered to the room (a new tradition ?) and relaxed watching the Big Bang Theory. Then ... it was nite nite time.

Epcot

Our first stop was the Fastpass Station at Soarin' - need to be back at 3:30 ...
Then we headed over to The Electric Umbrella to grab brunch. We like this fast food restaurant and it really wasn't busy at all.

After brunch we headed over to Ellen's Energy Adventure. No matter how many times we see this we always try to include it again.

Then we were off to Imagination! We followed Figment through the senses and played a bit after the ride. In this future world of course we watched Captain EO starring Michael Jackson from 1986.

After walking through some shops it was time to head back over to The Land. While waiting for our FP time we watched The Circle of Life. The waiting room is covered with carpet on the walls depucting natural life ... grass, plants, sand - it is really pretty. While waiting for the show Wayne attracted a young pirate boy who threatened him with his hook. Wayne just gave him a "errr" and the two of them played back and forth. It was cute. Once the show was over, it was time to Soar.

We were placed on row 2 and soared above. Afterwards we got another FP and are determined to ride on row 1 -

Next, we walked through the Duffy shop. I'm a bit disappointed in the costume selection for Duffy. I was hoping to add to his wardrobe, but it was not to be. The cast member in the shop said they have a Jedi costume at Hollywood Studios (I might have to buy that.)

As we began our walk around the World Showcase we enjoyed a small rain and the ponchos came out. The rain didn't last long though.

We walked around the World Showcase stopping at China (I bought earrings & a FAITH bracelet), U.S., Japan, and France this trip. We watched The American Adventure (always) and Impressions of France. Then we grabbed fish & chips
at the Rose & Crown Pub.

By this time it was time to head up front. We rode Spaceship Earth before heading back over to Soaring' -- then finally -- the cast member held us at bay to ride after our requested row 1 seating. And let me tell you -- it was worth it the small wait. Row 1 - center carriage - PERFECT!!! After the ride we headed out to OKW transport for a good nights sleep ...

Dinner and a movie ...

Saturday was a slacker day - until the 8:15 showing of The Dark Knight Rises.

We didn't leave the room until 3 pm and then went looking for thrift stores. I wanted to see what is available in Florida thrift stores in comparison to Virginia. From my data ... They are pretty much the same. I did find a couple pieces of Autumn Harvest though.

After thrifting a bit we headed downtown and had dinner at Planet Hollywood. The guys both ordered L.A. Lasagna and I the Penne Chicken & Broccoli. It was really good!

Next we bought our tickets for the movie and then walked around a bit. I was a little uneasy with all the news lately surrounding this movie, but I did enjoy this three hour intense experience.

We were back "home" by midnight watching the Big Bang Theory and settling in for the night.

Today ... Epcot!!
